Miller's Equestrian Center and Sanctuary programs include Miller’s Riding
School which offers Riding Lessons, Day Camps and Play Days. Each program lets individuals get involved and
interact with each other and their horses.
Miller’s Riding School has a variety
of programs and horses for everyone to enjoy, from children to adults. We
cater to all levels of riding ability, from beginners to expert, and have
fun, qualified instructors that love their job! Programs include:
Miller’s
Lessons: A school for the
ages and all ages. Here riders can learn a variety of riding techniques. We
offer lessons in English, hunt seat equitation, jumping, Western,
horsemanship and more. Day and evening classes, as well as lesson horses,
are available. And, there are opportunities to become part of our Show Team.
Day
Camps: Summer Camp can’t get
much more fun! This is a great experience for children to interact and bond
with each other and their horses. Our five-day camps accommodate every level
of riders by dividing lessons into two ability groups. Each day, riders have
a riding lesson, a stable management lesson and participate in fun
activities that include many fun games to keep the riders engaged. Games on
their horses include the classic Red Light, Green Light, Simon Says, Mother
May I, Capture the Carrot, Egg and Spoon Relay and many, many more! At the
end of camp, riders will put on a horse show for their parents and friends.
Magical memories are made here.
Overnight
Camps: Spend your days filled
with trail riding, games and caring for horses, your nights
under
the stars around the camp fire with friends.
Experience the outdoors with
your horse & friends. Trail rides, games & horse care. Riders take care of
their horse’s (feeding, cleaning…). At night we will have somemores and
tell stories around the campfire. We go to Montana de Oro and Rancho Osos
and others. These camps are great fun and create memories that last a
lifetime. These are 3 to 4 nights.
Overnight Camp at Hidden Springs
Ranch: During the day
there will be a riding lesson and a
stable
management lesson. In the evening we will have games on horseback, a pizza
party, movie and ice cream social. Then we will camp out in the arena at
the ranch. This includes breakfast and dinner.
Horsewise Riding Club:
Meets the first Wednesday of every month
from 6pm-7pm. Meet other riders, get involved. At meetings we
have dinner, presentations and information on upcoming activities.
Riders and parents are invited.
Everyone Rides:
We believe that everyone should be able to ride. Our Everyone Rides
program is for low-income individuals/families. Lessons are priced on a
sliding scale depending on income. We help riders with gear either through
donations or borrowing from our stock. Interaction with horses offer
valuable life lessons – so Everyone Rides!
