Sanctuary Horses |
Miller's
is a no-kill sanctuary for rescued and unwanted horses,
providing rehabilitation and a new purpose for the animals through Miller's
programs. Each horse is put on a management program and is tracked for its
lifetime. Our goal is to keep each horse physically and mentally sharp so
they live with purpose and a long, happy life. At Miller's unwanted horses are taken in, evaluated, re-trained or nursed back from an injury and given a purpose. Sanctuary horses can be sold, adopted, fostered, used as a companion or sponsored to work in Miller's programs. Miller's is a rescue facility. We work with Animal Services and other non-profits to provide a home for all types of horses that would otherwise be sent to slaughter or put down due to circumstances other than terminal illness. We rescue feedlot horses, premiering horses, wild horses and race track horses. Please let us know of any abuse or neglect situations that would require our services. Miller's horses will never see a slaughterhouse. The organization maintains a first right of refusal on all placed, sale and adopted horses. Each horse will be monitored every six months and can be returned to Miller's when they are no longer good for re-sale. Unwanted horses can be donated to Miller's with full tax deductions. The organization will take injured, abused, old and unruly horses; none will be turned away. Miller's is always in need of volunteers to help at the sanctuary.
